Craft Material Artist

Seville Marina Meyn Partida (b. 1992, Virginia Beach, VA) is a Craft Material Artist from Los Angeles, CA currently living and working in Norfolk, VA. They work primarily in wood, metal, and fibers melding utilitarian objects with explorations of womanhood, sexuality, and societal structures. Partida was a recipient of the Arrowmont Windgate University Fellowship (2023) and the Linda Holmgren Jensen Endowed Scholarship for the Arts (2023/24). They Received an Associates of Studio Arts, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Tidewater Community College in 2019 and completed a Bachelors of Fine Arts in 3D Media and Material Studies from Old Dominion University in 2024. Partida’s work Take My Body For Your Comfort (2024) will be featured in the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Arts Made in VA Biennial from July 11, 2024 through January 5, 2025.
